Although I have not been able to find a satisfactory title for this piece yet, I do know that it is about the passage from one state of being into another, quite possibly in the literal sense, implied by the bridesmaid cake-toppers, of the transition from single woman to married partner. Hairpins symbolize feminine elegance and dual roles. Roses represent manifestation and rebirth. White is also a symbol of passage and change, of dawn (a time of transition), the "passivity of something yet unfulfilled" and rebirth. Circles are a symbol of continuity, in this case possibly in the sense that this symbolic transition has occurred and will continue to occur throughout history. Metal also is a symbol of rebirth. While the bird (the mask worn by the bridesmaid facing the viewer is that of a bird) is a symbol of the link between heaven and earth, freedom from terrestrial concerns, and volatility.

Although this piece has such a literal application, it feels more symbolic of transcendence in general - more about a state of mind than just a changing of life roles.
