The title from this piece really evolved more from the impression it gave me than from any literal interpretation of the symbols within the piece. The deep black of the fabric became a void from which the balls of string seemed to be born, umbilical cords still trailing behind. It is obviously a piece about a birth, or a rebirth, of coming out of some darkness, literally or figuratively, into the light. |
